Kit Porritt Awarded Hawthorn Scholarship at Healing Arts Fair

At this year's Sixth Annual Healing Arts Fair held on October 24, 2009, Kit Porritt of Hayfork was awarded the Hawthorn Scholarship gift of $500 to assist her in the Masters in Counseling Program at National University.  

The Hawthorn Scholarship was established in memory of Lillian Godbe, who passed in 2006. Lillian was an herbalist and board member.  This scholarship is awarded annually at the Healing Arts Fair in October to an individual chosen by the TAHA Scholarship Committee. The purpose of the Hawthorn Scholarship is for the advancement of the education of an individual in the Healing Arts. 

The Trinity Alliance for the Healing Arts is a group of individuals dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in Trinity County through education and the practice of the healing arts.
