myGarden

There are 2 sections to the myGarden page. On Meet Your Fellow Gardeners, there are "Gardening Profiles", which you may use to describe yourself and give an overview of your gardening experiences. (This profile should be different than your Healing Arts profile). Postings are your individual listings offering or wanting specific items. Your postings will be listed below your Gardening Profile. On Garden Posts, everyone's postings are listed, with the most recent posting at the top. You must be a registered user to post a "gardening profile" Healing Arts Profile, or any other "postings" to this site.

Your Gardening profile

To create a "gardening profile", login to the site and click the "My account" link located at the right of the page under the blue bar with your name in it. Find the link labeled "Create your gardening profile", and click that. You will see a web page with a fill-in-the-blank form, where you can enter a "Title" (typically, you enter your name here) and a "Body" (this is where you describe yourself). When you are finished, scroll down to the bottom of the window and find the button labeled "Save." Click this, and you are done with your "gardening profile."

Postings

Immediately after adding your Garden Profile, you can add postings by clicking the link labeled "Add posting" located below the text of your new profile.
You'll see another webpage with a fill-in-the-blank form with 5 fields: Title, Item type, Seed Type, Type and Body. Title should be be short but descriptive. Item type and Seed type are optional but they aid users in searching the posts. In "Item type", enter a short description of the kind of item you are offering or wanting, (seed, plant, tool, etc.). In "Seed Types", fill in seed types, if applicable. For example, if you are offering seeds, enter "seeds" in the Item type and (for example) "kale" in the Seed types. You can also use a more generic term for the seed types, such as "garden greens". Each of these descriptive terms should be separated by commas, e.g. "kale, garden greens, vegetables". Use "Type" to choose the type of posting: Offer, Wanted or Other. Lastly, "Body" should contain the full description of the item. No word limit here.
In future logins, here are the steps to add more postings: click the link labeled "My account". Look for the text "Gardening profile", and below it you will see a link labeled "View." Click on View to show your profile, and look for the link labeled "Add posting" to add a new posting. The "Edit" tab next to "View" tab is used to edit your Gardening profile.
